Construction Workers Recall Working Around Asbestos before 1980 New York City Schools

This is clipped from a 1978 film which provided an explanation of asbestos, the dangers it poses to our health, and the importance of precautionary measures to prevent exposure. The film was used to inform workers, contractors, school systems, and general audiences of techniques for solving asbestos removal problems, some precautionary measures for workers, and the use of personal protective equipment. A booklet was also developed by Battelle Laboratories and New York City schools, in cooperation with the Labor Department's Occupational Safety and Health Administration OSHA, the Environmental Protection Agency EPA, and the National Cancer Institute-the funding agency for the project.
